August 1 – 4 Bass Pro Shops/Payne Stewart Junior Championship

Rivercut Golf Course- Springfield, MI

This event was located in the middle of nowhere Missouri but the town and people we met were all wonderful. The event was sponsored by Bass Pro Shops and Payne Stewart so that was pretty neat. Lauren and I stayed in private housing with one of the players who lived on the course. Her and I spent most of our nights watched Netflicks on their TV, it actually felt like a normal summer night.

Our host mom made us bfast every morning which was delicious and so sweet of her. The host brother and his girlfriend took us to Andys which is a very good frozen custard shop.

C.jones was our tournament director with Sam, and her parents came out and helped us with volunteering. Our team just tried to really enjoy the last couple of days together. The worst part of this event was by far the heat!! it was unreal how hot and sweaty everyday was.

Despite the heat the week went well. The people we worked with love junior golf and having us there so we felt very welcome.

July 25 – 28 Lockton Kansas City Junior

Oakwood Country Club – Kansas City, Missouri

Who would have thought Kansas City would be so nice? Not me. But we actually stayed in a very nice Marriot resort in Overland Kansas and everyday crossed the Missouri border to get to the course.

The course itself wasn’t in a good condition because of the extreme heat it had all summer, but the clubhouse was pretty cool because it had an old-school, country club castle feel and the surrounding area was very new and up and coming.

It was Abbys birthday when we were there so we celebrated her 21st. Annie and Katie's (our tournament and assistant tournament directors) parents both live close to Kansas City so they hosted dinners for us which was fun. Mostly we hung out in the hotel room.

This was my last tournament with Rosanna .. my favorite girl! so we took a pic to make it last a little longer :)

July 18 – 21 Midwest Junior Players Championship

The House on the Rock Resort – Spring Green, Wisconsin

This area of Wisconsin is not the best, to put it nicely. For the most part we had no cell phone reception, and our hotel had no wireless-internet. Talk about old school. Out of all the events I sadly say that this was my least favorite. But something I had learned is that it was only a week. And this was one of those weeks I was happy to complete.

Some good things about this event was that our tournament directors were awesome. Lindsey and Courtney were really easy and fun to work with. They got us passes to House on the Rock, which is this random house build on a rock. As cool as it sounds it was actually pretty creepy.

The weather was almost unbearable. When we would look at the weather channel the map was purple! I have never seen purple on a weather map before! Heat advisories for every day we were there. It was hot a humid and I was very happy we got to ride around in carts.

On my day off I went to go visit Scarlett in Madison. She kindly picked my up the night before, so we got to go out then explore the next day. I have never visited Madison so that was by far the coolest part of the week for me. It was also really nice to see a good friend of mine from back home.

The worst part of the week came at the end, when I lost my cell phone and ray bans on the last day of being there. After being in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin and loosing two important items I had enough. That was by far the most upset I was all summer. But after a phone call with my mother and good friends on the team to pick me up. I was feeling better and ready to move to our next site, Kansas City.
